Kitchen Boards
I was going through a creative and motivation block, so I decided to go back to basics and create kitchen boards without much planning. Going with the flow and adapting the process as I go is something I’m not allowed to do much times, specially during the Tiny Apartment series, where I had to create furniture that needed to adapt perfectly to the imperfect wall angles.
I jumped into this without much expectation and I was able to have more fun while getting my hands dirty!
The kitchen boards were up for sale and, although, they are already sold out, I’ll leave them here, in case you’d like to know more information about them:
A beautiful cutting board made out of solid wood by Cris
It's a small sized cutting board, measuring roughly 230 x 240 x 28 mm (9 x 9.5 x 1.1")
It features Cherry and European Walnut wood from Cris' family village in Trás-os-Montes, Portugal. The lighter tone wood is Canadian Hard Maple.
A pure beeswax, food grade mineral oil and virgin coconut oil cream is included for care and maintenance. To prevent cracks and warping due to moisture and washing, apply the cream on a regular basis by rubbing it with a clean rag or with your hands. It will keep the wood nurtured and beautiful.
There is only 1 unit available by the time this product is released.
A beautiful serving board made out of solid wood by Cris
It's a small sized serving/charcuterie board, measuring roughly 345 x 190 x 25 mm (13.5 x 7.5 x 1")
It’s made out of figured European Walnut from Cris' family village in Trás-os-Montes, Portugal.
The serving board is finished with a non-toxic food-safe finish that is perfectly suitable for food. To keep the finish intact, please avoid scratching the surface with knife blades and do not place burning hot kitchen cookware on top. It can be washed with water and mild dishsoap, but it’s best to dry it immediately with a towel.
